Federico García Trujillo is a Canarian artist based in Barcelona. He has a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona and studied for a year at Manchester Metropolitan University. He exhibited La pintura como lenguaje documental at the Miscelanea gallery in Barcelona and was selected to participate in the Biennale d'Art Contemporani - Jove Creació Europea, an exhibition that has toured several European countries. He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, among which Stand out the chairs, Scenarios of (re)fictional reality, Memorias de contrabando and Artificiala. He has managed to attract the attention of the Barcelona artistic environment with a work of resignification and recontextualization by transferring to an artisanal medium – usually painting and drawing – the media content that is produced in our contemporaneity and, above all, that which is produced due to historical circumstances and which struggles to be represented in the present.
